Disabilities Ministry

The Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA) appointed the Reformed Presbyterian Woman’s Association (RPWA) to the task of leading and coordinating a support ministry for the church denomination to disabled individuals and to congregations, elders, deacon boards and families of the RPCNA around the country who face disabilities of various natures.

The Bible teaches that God created all people in His own image, irrespective of their mental, physical, social, or economic condition.  Therefore, each individual life is a gift from God and must be valued without regard to mental or physical abilities or social or economic status.

The RPWA Disabilities Ministry Steering Committee is a committee of volunteers who seek to mobilize all of the appropriate resources of the RPCNA and various government and social agencies in a manner that will best meet the needs of disabled persons of the Christian community, and to provide opportunities for the disabled to use their gifts and abilities in the furtherance of Christ’s kingdom. When and where possible, the Disabilities Ministry Steering Committee seeks to provide financial, spiritual, and emotional support, counseling, and education services to disabled persons and their families.
