Annual Thankoffering Service, 2023

Dear Friends of the Reformed Presbyterian Home,

The Reformed Presbyterian Home will host its annual Thankoffering worship service on the afternoon of October 1, 2023, beginning at 3:30 PM in the Mary Coleman George Dining Room on the 3rd floor.  We would be delighted to have you come and join us as we give thanks to our Lord for His provision for our ministry.  Pastor Martin Blocki of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North Hills will open God’s Word for us that afternoon.  A light and early supper will follow the service.

The Lord has proven his faithfulness to the ministry of the Reformed Presbyterian Home for 126 years, and we wish to celebrate together and give praise and honor and thanks to the Lord for his provision and protection. The residents of the RP Home always look forward to having family and friends join them for worship.  Of particular interest, this 1st day of October 2023 marks the exact 40th anniversary of the dedication of the 1982-1983 construction.  That was a momentous occasion for those present!  Once again:

Thankoffering Worship at RP Home – October 1, 2023, 3:30 PM

The offerings received at the annual Thankoffering service are undesignated gifts supporting the Gracious Giving, Grateful Living benevolent care fund.  The Board of Directors asks that you prayerfully consider supporting our benevolent care fund.  In the last calendar year the total amount of uncompensated care provided by the RP Home amounted to $2,298,000, consisting of $188,329 in benevolent care and $2,109,671 in contractual adjustments for Medicare, Medical Assistance, and commercial insurance.

We are truly grateful to the Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America for including the RPWA in its Missions and Ministries program.   Even with the assistance from the church denomination there is still a shortfall.  A number of congregations and individuals have contributed generously to the RP Home to help reduce the monetary loss from operations for which we are truly grateful.

“May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon, and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field! May his name endure forever, and his fame continue as long as the sun.  May people be blessed in him, and all nations call him blessed!”  (Psalm 72:16, 17)

You can experience the blessing of contributing to our ministry by using the enclosed envelope addressed to the Reformed Presbyterian Home, 2344 Perrysville Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15214 or by accessing our website at www.rphome.org.

Thank you for your generous support of our ministry in both prayer and in financial contributions.

Sincerely in Christ,

Bill Weir
